February came and went without a single post from me. Honestly, I loved turning my attention elsewhere and giving the blogging (and sketching) a much-needed rest. Here's what I did instead:
I taught a ton of Yoga classes.
I helped a family member get through surgery and recovery.
I meditated (a lot).
I attended a wonderful Chakra meditation workshop.
I worked on my asana practice and sadhana.
I enjoyed my social life on the weekends with friends.
I squeezed in this cute elephant watercolor (above)!
So February was big for nurturing the other things in my life besides art which are valuable (and necessary) to me. And now as Spring slowly arrives and I emerge from winter hibernation, I can feel my creativity surging. You will be seeing much new art from me.

Happy to know you had a full February!Love the illo:)
ReplyDeleteA little too full, but in a good way:) Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI see nothing wrong with taking a break from the website when needed. Sounds like you've had a productive February doing tons of things more important than blogging!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great example of how to tune and take care of yourself. You're a great role model for us all.
ReplyDeleteYes, and it looks like March has been just as busy. Lots of family things happening. Family is the only thing that really matters in the end, how much we loved them, how much we supported and served them. I know every family has their own difficulties relation-ship wise, and sometimes relationships just go beyond the point of no return. But even in those moments with those people, there's an opportunity to move beyond ego. It's worth the effort. No amount of money or fame or career success will matter when the last breath escapes.
ReplyDeletewow ditto.
ReplyDeleteI also had a long absence. Welcome back. That is a sweet looking illustration Cyn.
Don't think I'd mind having that elephant for a pet.
have a good day :)
