I'm on a quest to live a life filled with the things I'm passionate about. And I hope I can inspire others to do the same. So to celebrate this on-going, and re-fueled journey, I want to give you a chance to win this cute piece of artwork that I painted today, "Find Your Passion". It's watercolor and colored pencil and comes in the black frame shown in the picture. It measures 2.5"x3.5".
To qualify to win this original work of art from yours truly, I ask you to answer this single question. What are YOU passionate about? I just want to know what gets you out of bed in the morning with a smile. What energizes you? Is it your job, your significant other, your weekend hobby (or full-time hobby)? Leave your comments and you're entered. Pretty easy!
I'm passionate about drawing and creating new characters and painting scenes that suddenly appear in my imagination. And I'm also very passionate about inspiring other people to make art. So I hope you draw, or sing, or dance, or do whatever you love to do, and do it with intention. Every day!
A winner will be picked from a name I pull out of a hat on June 17th. I'll contact the winner for shipping info. Good luck!
I, too, am passionate about my artwork. I'm happiest when I'm creating. :)
ReplyDeleteI love different kinds of music. I love how hearing it can evoke feelings and memories. It calms me and unhooks my brain from the daily grind. My only wish is that I could play some instruments to create music for my words.
ReplyDeleteI would say my biggest passion is my son. I'm a single dad with primary care and he is the reason I do what I do even on the days I want to quit or could care less.
ReplyDeleteHey Cyn I'll bite! You know my currant passion! Working on GREW, if anything else, I'm passionate about reaching the point when I can say that I support my family though my art.
ReplyDeleteDesperate to quit the Day Job!
Great idea Cyn. My biggest passion is painting, drawing, writing, playing the fiddle, and spending time with my loved ones. I've found that if I'm missing any of these things in my life, then I'm not a happy, whole person. Chris
ReplyDeleteI'm passionate about helping kids find their passion. Unfortunately, due to economic or home life circumstances, some kids get wrapped up in just surviving and growing up. Any chance I have to provide a kid with an opportunity to explore something new and just enjoy it, that's a chance I can't pass up. And something that makes me smile.
ReplyDeleteI'm passionate about promoting my clients - it's like breathing for me - I never stop, so I guess I picked an ideal career for me.
ReplyDeleteI'm passionate about teaching.
ReplyDeleteThis is especially significant since I just left the profession yesterday.
I hope to be equally passionate about the job I hope to get as a behavioral consultent. It involves the elements of teaching that mean the most to me: working with children, helping kids with autism manage their own behavioral and sensory needs, and spending my days with some of the coolest kids around.
(But without the drama of public schools. I'm definitely not passionate about that.)
*consultant. With an A.
ReplyDeleteThe teacher in me will not let it go. :)
I am passionate about creating new and exciting designs that people love- my long life passion is to get into animation and have a movie made with my characters!!
ReplyDeleteI love your children's illustrations and thanks for stopping by my blog also- I enjoy Tweeting with you also!!
ohh and one more thing I have become super passionate about workout all over again- go crazy when I can't!
I'm passionate about children's books. Writing them, reading them, promoting them. (And I'm passionate about that cute little mouse! Thanks for the opportunity to win him!)
ReplyDeleteMy passion is in helping other people to achieve their personal goals, find theirown passion, recognize their own greatness and feel good about themselves no matter what their circumstance.
ReplyDeleteI beleive in sharing the things I've been blessed with and the knowledge I've been given along the way.
The ability to create and share my illustrations on a professional level is something I'm working hard on, but what moves me the most, is making sure that when I leave this world, it is better for my having been here.
I am passionate about happiness! Joy gets me up in the morning and whatever I am doing, even laundry- I make sure I'm having fun.
ReplyDeleteI am passionate about life. When you are out and about in your day, stop and really listen to the birds, smell the flowers, look around you. There is always something going on. Stop, look and listen. It is a beautiful world.
ReplyDeleteMy family is what keeps me going. My wife is a stay at home mom and I have 2 (about to be 3 kids). So my desire to give them the best life possible keeps me working hard day after day at my best level. Sometimes work is fun and sometimes it's a real pain to get through the day, but no matter what, I try to work hard and push through so that I can get home an spend all available time with them.
ReplyDeleteYour response to that simple question, what is your passion, are so much MORE than what I was expecting. Thank you so much for sharing with me, and for your positive collective energy!
ReplyDeleteI look forward to reading more!
ooh Cyn this is awesome. I am passionate about My my wonderful husband and 2 amazing boys, my art and pursuing illustration, and running
ReplyDeleteMy current passion is forensics.
ReplyDeleteI looooove learning everything I can about the subject, especially the science behind it. I'm so glad I decided to return to school and pursue a forensics degree.
Not only do I get to fuel my love for math, science, and puzzles, but I'll be able to use them in the future to help catch bad guys!
This was really fun reading everyone's responses. I guess for me, I am passionate about life and learning, not just for me but with everyone I am lucky enough to share my life with. I consider every day I wake up a gift and I try to experience, learn, share and enjoy all that each day brings whether it is by myself or with my family, my friends, my students, co workers or just people I meet that day.
ReplyDeleteI am passionate about teaching children to be responsible, to do their best always, and understand the importance of becoming a life long learner. Now that I'm retiring after 35 years of teaching 4th grade, I am transitioning that passion to writing, which will enable me to communicate in a new way with children. My first book came out fall 2008, "Where Am I Sleeping Tonight?-A Story of Divorce." I am passionate in my desire to help children from shared custody families. The truth is, I'm passionate about life!
ReplyDeletei am passionate about being happy. I know that creating art and spending time with my husband are the 2 things in this world that make me happiest, so i try to do that as often as possible. :)
ReplyDeleteHey, Cynthia,
ReplyDeleteI wrote about passion today (http://oozingeveryday.blogspot.com). I am most passionate about speaking/preaching. I love to teach and feel that it is a gift I must use. Whenever I have the chance to speak to a group (especially a Women's Ministry event) I take it!
Take care,
Cazandra

ReplyDeletei am passionate about helping others. having the role model of a dad who actually gave the coat off his back on a winter day to a fellow in the street, rubs off. what can u do to make a positive difference in someone or "something"'s (read that as pet) life is why i wake up. did i put a smile on someone's face? did i help out my fellow humankind today? if i can say i did as i lay my head to sleep and drift to sleepyland - i did good. and i will work to do it again.
ReplyDeleteAnything that provokes a reaction is what drives me. I love the "reaction" factor. Sing-alongs at concerts are the best. See: Pearl Jam's "Better Man," or DMB's "Ants Marching." When audiences lose themselves in laughter at comedy clubs. When the deafening silence falls over the crowd at at memorial service. When my team scores the 3-pointer at the buzzer and the fans go wild. Reactions prove to me that we were actually human, and not just...well...ants marching.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea with this, Cyn.
I say anything worth doing is worth doing with a passion....maybe except house chores :)
ReplyDeleteI am passionate about sleeping in late. If I am feeling completely self-indulgent, I can sleep up to 16 hours straight without waking up.
ReplyDeleteI'm passionate about LSU Sports, because I grew up watching them with my Dad and Grandfather.
ReplyDeleteI'm passionate about literature, music and art(all kinds) because so many different forms can draw the same emotions from many different groups of people.
I'm most passioante about my love of Family and Friends. I've been blessed to be surrounded by great people all my life. Without them and their influence, I would not be the man I am today. I could never thank them enough for all that they have done.
Great topic Cyn.
CONGRATULATIONS DEBORAH! Send me your address so I can send you the art:)
